rachuba check [--year YYYY] [--json]

Holds the year's recorded runs against the statutory limits and prints one line per finding. It records nothing.

• INFO: deferrals so far against the ceiling and the room left, or that the ceiling is reached; the Social Security wage base reached.
• ERROR:

  elective deferrals of <amount> exceed the <year> limit of <amount> by <amount>. The excess must be distributed by 15 April <year> or it is taxed twice.

  annual additions of <amount> exceed the section 415(c) limit of <amount> by <amount>.

  employer contributions of <amount> exceed 25% of <amount> compensation (<amount>).

  prior-year Social Security wages of <amount> exceed <amount>, so every catch-up dollar must be designated Roth. Pre-tax deferrals above <amount> are not permitted.

• WARN: California's FUTA credit reduction is undetermined, or the configured rate differs from the final Schedule A rate.

With --json: year, findings, advisory and breached.

Exit status

After printing everything, exit 1 when any finding is an ERROR:

a statutory limit has been breached

And the shared refusals on configuration.
